Karin Kolster-Kelly was born in 1960 in Neumünster (in Germany’s Schleswig Holstein). In her youth she felt drawn to the arts. After secondary school she studied the fine arts and special education in Heidelberg. After graduation, she worked for four years at a gallery in Heidelberg.
Through her contact with artists and art she became clear about her own path: she decided to pursue goldsmithing and began studying in a two-year program in Schwäbisch Gmünd. She followed up with a study of jewelry and object-making in Pforzheim from 1994 to 1997.
After receiving her degree, she opened her own workshop in Heidelberg. There she creates her unique rings, which are characterized by their carefully-chosen stones. |
