Eva Kandlbinder was born in Passau in 1957. During her days in secondary school she had already taught herself to weave. After completing her studies in communications science and teaching, she decided to make her living through linen weaving.
In 1986 she passed the preliminary German examinations in hand weaving and opened her own workshop in Passau, where she now lives after interludes in Prague and Nürnberg. In 1993 she passed the German master examination in hand weaving.
She exhibits her materials several times a year in galleries and craft fairs.
