"Linen, as a material, and the play of interwoven threads held a fascination for me since I was a child.
My work has its roots in the centuries-old tradition of linen weavers in the Bavarian Forest. I want to develop new possibilities and designs and add a small building block to this long tradition.
I weave linen for everyday use. A lot of my materials are created as special orders for very specific people, furniture, interiors and light situations.
In creating my designs I use the principle of structured accidents. The basic design remains constant, the concrete realisation is a toss of the dice. The results are pieces of cloth that are completely unique."
