FINK Stefan

Stefan Fink was born in 1958 in Hamburg. His father ran a teak woods business. As a child, he often had to work in his father’s warehouse. He still remembers the thick wood dust he had in his nose and on his clothes every day.
After finishing secondary school, Fink apprenticed in the workshop of the master wood turner Werner Nehring for three years. During his time as a journeyman from 1977 to 1982 he worked for various workshops in Hamburg and Munich that manufactured wooden furniture.
In 1982 he began studying industrial design at the College of Fine Arts in Hamburg and completed his degree in six years. In 1986 he founded his own workshop in Hamburg. |
