YAMAMOTO Takahiro

Yamamoto Takahiro was born in 1967 in Sabae (Fukui Prefecture). His father and his grandfather both worked as lacquer craftsmen. After finishing high school at the age of 18, he began an apprenticeship in his father’s workshop, where he still works today.
In his first years in the workshop he supported his father’s work. In 1992 he began to create his own forms which he successfully presented in group exhibitions. In 2001 he opened his first one-man show in a Tokyo gallery. |
